Mega EverDrive / Re: Mega Everdrive V2 help bootloader
« on: March 30, 2019, 12:09 AM »
I have an older V2 before the X series cant get anything to load see screenshots tried multiple SD Cards, and different version of OS. From 2.01 to current.

See Attached

Your screenshot shows an error that says "cannot find megaos.bin" but the filename in your other screenshot shows the filename as mega.bin. I guess try changing the filename so it matches?

Turbo EverDrive / Re: Weird Issue on PC Engine

I made timings optimizations and sent test sample to NeoMK, he confirmed that cart now works fine on his setup. Anyone who has mentioned graphics artifacts may send his cart to us for exchange. Please use contact us form to submit request: https://krikzz.com/store/contact-us

Should I send mine in even if I don’t have any issues? I’m using a TED 2.5 and white PC Engine which has a composite mod. The menu looks fine and I’ve played a few games with no problem, there are no graphical issues at all. Just wondering if this will be a problem down the road at some point if I don’t send it in.

RedGuy just released a small v08.2 update which fixes GSU-1 and GSU-2 timings.

Where did you get this info? Just wondering as I'd like to know about these releases as soon as possible.

I checked the first post in this thread still points to v08 (not v08.2 as far a I can tell). And I checked on https://github.com/RedGuyyyy/sd2snes/releases/ but I don't see anything newer than v08 there.

Thanks redguy and anyone else that contributed to this!

Quick question - should we disable only ingame hooks or ALL hooks?

Has anyone ordered a Mega Everdrive V2? I ordered mine on Jan 21 but my status on retrogate is stuck at "invoiced". Just wondering if anyone else ordered one through retrogate and if the status is different.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / sd2snes folder structure
« on: August 14, 2014, 08:23 AM »
I've seen a few YouTube videos now where people have their games sorted in folders according to chip type, e.g. SuperFX,SA-1, etc. Does anyone know how I can accomplish the same? I'd like for my games to be in folders identifying the chip type rather than A, B, C, etc.

it should be implemented in OS and in each mapper

Thanks for the confirmation Krikzz. Keeping my fingers crossed that it'll show up in an upcoming update  ;)

EverDrive N8 / Save state with Mike Tyson's Punchout
« on: August 06, 2014, 07:31 AM »
I showed my brother my N8 tonight and I told him to try any random game of his choice so he chose Mike Tyson's Punchout. After 5 min of explaining that what he's playing is not emulated :) I told him to press the save state key combo but the screen didn't flash like it usually does. I exited and tried the next game in the list (millipede) and it worked perfectly. But when we went back to Mike Tyson's Punchout it didn't work. We tried a few different versions but still no luck. I'm wondering if this is a known problem or if something is wonky on my N8. Can someone else try save states with Mike Tyson's Punchout and let me know if it works?

Does anyone know if this feature would need to be implemented in the OS itself or somewhere else? I'd like to try taking a shot at implementing it but I'm not sure if regular users have access or if it can only be implemented by Krikzz. What I'd like to do is simply trap start+select pressed at the same time to trigger a system reset.

Thanks Krikzz. My device info says:

OS ver: 9
Bios ver: 4
Cpld ver: 1
Adate: 04.05.13
Atime: 11:39

I ordered my N8 from the retrogate store on May 1, 2013. If I have a version that doesn't have built in diagnostics is there some other way to run diagnostics on my cart?

Hmmm that didn't work  :(

If I start my NES without a SD card I get an error 40 "SD Card Initialization Error", and then nothing happens when I press Select+Start+A+B

If I start my NES with a SD card that doesn't contain the N8 system files I get an error 10 "System Files Not Found", and nothing happens when I press Select+Start+A+B

In both cases nothing happens when I try to initiate the diagnostics. I tried pressing the keys on my controller in a different order; A+B+Start+Select and Select+Start+B+A but no luck. I also ran the cart to check NES hardware which includes a controller test and all my buttons are working perfectly. I'm stumped, any other ideas?

EverDrive N8 / Everdrive N8 diagnostics
« on: July 31, 2014, 08:16 AM »
I have a frontloader and I can't figure out how to run the diagnostics on it. The instructions on this forum say you're supposed to turn the NES on without a SD card and then put a card in and press A+B+Start+Select.

I can't remove the SD card without pressing the cartridge down in my frontloader which springs it up. But you can't run carts unless they're in the down position. And when my N8 is in the down position the SD card slot is not accessible as its blocked by the body of the NES.

Is the diagnostic mode only intended for top loaders? Or am I supposed to be doing something differently to run diagnostics on my frontloader?

PS - there's absolutely nothing wrong with my N8, I just want to see the diagnostics out of curiosity  :)
