Sadly the original megaed v1 is not supported anymore, it's abandoned. It had supposedly so much potential with it's FPGA but nothing came out of it in the end ...

oh wow... that's really bad

well that's sad news for obvious reasons since the original mega-ed was a premium cart ... but if it does not fit then nothing to do really

4
what about the original Mega-ED? is it supported?

do you seriously expect support for a clone cart? get a real one and be done with it.

What are you talking about? SD card speed is irrelevant, the SED reads from the SD *once* when it burns the game to the SED eeprom.
After that the game is running from the eeprom chip and not the SD... everdrives/consoles are not PCs mate.

The only situation where the SD card speed matters is with the SD2SNES when it is running MSU-1 games because the sd cards is accessed constantly to stream audio/video : this is something no normal game does.

You are having another kind of problem, most likely a hardware issue with your cart.

It's a known issue and happens with every SD2SNES , so don't worry about your hardware being faulty or something  ;)
I have no idea if it can be fixed or not, maybe ikari_01 replies here and tells us.

That's the fate of old PSUs, they just die. It's irrelevant if you played NTSC roms or the ED64, for example an old (or crappy) pc psu can die while the pc is turned off and the psu operates in stand-by mode... get a replacement and cross your fingers the old psu did not damage the rest of the machine.

ofcourse, building your own is certainly doable and cheaper, that's what I did before all the fancy pcbs:

are you moddin a 1-CHIP or an older 3-CHIP snes?

bortie4938's boards is what I use as well, got them directly from him though... else you can get all the parts needed to make your own from Bad_Ad84: http://assemblergames.com/l/threads/for-sale-modding-parts-chips-etc.39971/

bortie4938's work is available here, there are links in the projects that lead to OSHPARK for pcb orders: https://github.com/borti4938/Switchless-Mods and https://github.com/borti4938/SNES-AddOn-PCBs

and here are the pcbs: https://oshpark.com/profiles/borti4938

You only need the .hex file to programm the PIC , the .asm is the source code that when compiled produces the .hex file
It is a good idea to open the .asm with notepad for example, there are instructions in there - it's just a text file.
