Off Topic / Re: Video game pioneer Ralph Baer dies aged 92
« on: December 08, 2014, 09:27 AM »

he had fled from Europe at 10 when Hitler was elected and invented*, when trying to fix a device for adjusting screens, the video game console.

*we should, in Europe, wonder how powerfull we would be if we don't spend our time to eliminate "others":cathars, protestants, jews, muslims and so on... but that is an other debate which probably has nothing to do here

onthe top of the screen, juste under the title, click on "games", then on "NES" and then click on what you want....
for exemple, if you click on "racing/driving", the website will list only the racing games ....

because youtube try to prove me it sucks, I decided to share my videos on the very french (untill we sell it to a chinese guy)daylimotion.
so you will find 2 videos about everdrive
as usual, you will need to understand french and if krikzz minds it/asks it, yes these video could be used on the main website as a review of the product.

EverDrive GB / Re: Format SD card in Linux

I use gparted, a GUI for format "memories"

according to the manual downloaded here on krikzz website you will find that everdrive and overclocked megadrive doesn't like each other: normally it shouldn't work but sometimes who knows... :)

Master EverDrive / Re: Sega Paddle Support on Menu
« on: November 08, 2014, 08:50 PM »
otherwise, like the light phaser, use the normal control pad to load the game, then unplug the control pad to plug the paddle.

the chip for the SMS, if my memories still work, is the Z80 used as the sound processor in megadrive mode. When you plug a power baser converter which works as a simple passtrough, "something electronically occurs" (I think I could explain it in french...or not :)) bypassing the 68000 and use the Z80 as the main processor, the megadrive has all the stuff to run the master system games (but not the SC3000/SG1000 games which will run perfectly on a japanese SMS, even the western cartridge).
I don't know how work the everdrive but perhaps something is wrong with your modded megadrive which forbid the signal send to use the Z80 instead of the 68000

it seems that the "how the pwer baser converter works" is explain here:

do you have the possibility to run a real master system game (not F16 Fighter, it will not work) with the power base converter?

Very weird as I have the same configuration as you and for the last news, the master system roms work fine, whenether the switches are on JAP,EUR or US. OK a few master system games will never work on a mega drive.

In fact I didn't realised that your mega drive is overclocked. I'm sure you tested the master system roms with the switch on 7,6 MHz, the normal clock cycle of the 68000...

EverDrive MD / saving issues with Soleil
« on: October 19, 2014, 08:47 PM »
Soleil is the PAL version of Crusader of Centy.
I'm writing here to help a guy on a french forum who is not able to heard a word in english...
Apparently, the save doesn't work: when he saves a game, it seems OK but when he wants to recall the save, a message says that the file is corrupted. but the same roms on a emulator (on computer or PSP) doesn't have the save problem.
Does this problem is "normal" I mean a known issu which could be fixed with an update of the everdrive or does he done something wrong?

What are these not working roms?
some games like F-16 fighter will never work on a megadrive.
