News / Re: EverDrive-GBA power consumption

Pretty safe to assume we'll be able to buy one around that time. I hope.

I asked Stone Age Gamer and they said it'll only be available to pre-order at the show, in addition to the demo.

Ahh... Sad times :(

Cost will be $99 USD from Stone Age Gamer.
I really hope this isn't going to be the final price.

You're kidding, right?
You think that's too much considering the time and effort that's gone into it?

How goes the production, KRIKzz?
Are you gluing them together yet?

another farmous flashcart: 93.9mA (and peaks over 100ma durinl loading)

Which one was it?

KRIKzz probably won't say so he doesn't appear to be bashing someone else's product.
It's probably the ez-flash though. That sucker draws too much power to work on the Super Retro Advance.

I'd also love to know when this will be available.
Any idea when the cart will be ready, KRIKzz?

in 1-2 moths i guess

HYPE!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D I think I'll get the stone age gamer deluxe edition of the cart (hopefully there will be an edition just like all other everdrives seem to have one  ;) )

I've been doing battle with the ez-flash...
I'd be happy with a bare ED board. Lol

Thanks for the info, man.
Yeah I load a region free hack of the US v2.00 bios for mine. It works for everything I have except the aforementioned.
My mega cd 2 and 32X are both brand new, never used before I got them a month or so ago so I don't fancy messing about inside them.
I guess I'll have to live without the dubious pleasures of Night Trap. :-)

Mega EverDrive / Mega CD 32X compatibility?
« on: November 12, 2015, 10:39 PM »
Hi folks,

Been using my Mega ED v2 for mega cd games for a while now and it's gone without problem.
This morning I got my first CD 32X game, Night Trap and after I select the bios file, I get the Sega cd splash screen, followed by sonic throwing his magic pixie dust, then it just sits on a black screen.
Do I need a special bios or something?

I have the full set up before anyone asks :-)
Mega drive 1, Mega CD 2 and 32X, all Japanese.
MD has region switch and it's set to USA.

Mega EverDrive / Mega ED v2 Mega CD ram cart capacity.
« on: November 04, 2015, 04:39 PM »
Howdy folks!

Been using the mega ED v2 with my mega cd for a while now and it works flawlessly.
My question is this:

Is there any way to make the virtual ram cart bigger?
It emulates the original one perfectly, including its capacity, but there are now ram carts available that have over 8000 pages, which I believe is the maximum that the mega cd can address.
It would be cool if the mega ED could simulate a cart of this capacity.

Mega EverDrive / Re: Mega Everdrive v2 games resetting/crashing
« on: September 05, 2015, 01:17 PM »
Well I got my 2 amp psu and the problem persists, so it's not a lack of power that's doing it.
I'll get the cart replaced.
If that doesn't work, I'll try replacing the console.
Thanks for your help guys :-)
