Any word on why this is happening? It didn't happen in previous OS versions and it makes the patches for Nazo no Murasamejo and Bio Miracle Bokette Upa to add the FDS header pointless (though they both seem to work without it).

Why would that matter?

Just try it. Some games need to be boot up in this mode in order to link (it's also needed for download link). That's how I got the Zero Misssion and Fusion link up to work.

Everdrive GB uses flash memory. Shantae boots in GBA mode and games with SGB features work on SGB. I heard GBA features for the Zelda Oracle games work too.

I ran into problems with some games when the mappers got fragmented. Deleting the EDFC folder and putting it back worked. There's some more info here.

When I play a FDS game using the latest OS (V15), the game runs, but the FDS header is deleted after I play it. Nestopia also detects the files played on the Everdrive as corrupt files, though the files still run on FCEU and Everdrive.

I can, but there are videos up on Youtube with some of the Namco games like King of Kings, Final Lap, and JP Rolling Thunder without the buzzing and beeping, so it's clear it's not supposed to be happening. Final Lap sometimes buzzes when I pause it on the Everdrive.

I checked the header for FF7. It has a huge 2048k PRG ROM. As far as I know, that is too big for the Everdrive N8.

I suggest deleting the EDFC directory and putting it back on. I had to do that a few times to get OS 15 working without hanging. I also have AVS and going to menu and restarting works for me, though it took a while to get the OS working properly beforehand.

I have this issue on some games with the AVS, but not with my AV Famicom. Odd thing is that there are some games were only the US or JP version is affected.

Edit: Reverted back to the stable firmware (1.10) for AVS and the artifact problem disappeared.

No update for Namco sound? The current driver sounds good, but often has some buzzing in the background, which doesn't happen with my Final Lap and Rolling Thunder Famicom carts.

Did you try the specific ROM I mentioned in the previous post? Mario Bros Classic is different from the standard Mario Bros (which also came out in Europe) and has a few things from the AC missing from the previous port.  "Mario Bros. (Europe) (Rev A)" is NOT the ROM you want for this hack. I also recommend trying Mario Bros Classic separately from this hack since all this hack does is "update" the graphics.

Here is a video of Mario Bros. Classic. Notice how it has intros before some levels introducing enemies and how some of the sprites like the turtles are different? The jump is also more controllable in this version.

I haven't tested the Zelda Oracle games, but Shantae definitely boots up in GBA mode using the Everdrive GB. I also tested a few SGB games on the Super Game Boy and they all work. Even the SNES Space Invaders plays using the SGB Space Invaders from Everdrive GB.

The patch is for the EU only Mario Bros. Classic, not the original Mario Bros. Look for "Mario Bros Classic (Europe).nes" and make sure the checksum matches the one on the page for the patch.

Too bad there weren't any more updates before it went down. The latest one sounds great on AV Famicom, but it's slightly too quiet on defaults on the AVS. It's probably too quiet on the original Famicom, as well.
