FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: SD2SNES Pro
« on: March 17, 2019, 03:27 PM »
waiting 6 months to have an update on the pro , he could test it before selling the pro  :-\

Ok,thats maybe true, but hey,he will fix this, its not the end of the world phalanx67.
Those guys have also a life out of this sd2snes project.
We have to learn that, imagine we don't have those flashcards,we all putting much more money out of our pocket to play all the games.
I understand your point, but it is what it is.

If you would have bought a new, top of the line, 75" TV set with the very latest features at a premium price, and when you install it at home you realise the Timeshift/recording function is not working despite such functionality is advertised at the retailer, at the official web page of the manufacturer, and that functionality seems to be working fine in the inferior product range...

What would you think if you go to the support channel, ask for a prompt fix (instead of instantly asking the money back), you receive no official answer and people around start saying nonsenses like?:

-"its not the end of the world"
-"Those guys have also a life out of their home electronics business"
-"imagine we don't have those TV sets with recording capabilities, we would be all day spending money in blu-rays"
-"it is what it is"
-"There's always your kitchen TV in the meantime until it is fixed, if you want to record something badly enough"

This is a business, this guys make this product to earn money with it, they sell it all over the world earning a profit, just like any other business or company. So, all of you, as customers, should demand that every single one of the capabilities advertised when you bought the product to be perfectly working!. Well but nobody is perfect and sometimes sh*t happens, but at least demmanding an official answer or an ETA is a customer's right.

Seriously, i do not know if feel more embarased by the lack of official support, or by some customers comments.

And what is akari supposed todo????????
Stop with his life from now on cause some games doesn't work, really?REALLY?
He got in contact with me,he said he will fix those problems.
You people see a problem, and the the worlds ends, thinking he will not fix it,c'mon man.
Even microsoft got a problem with their xbox 360 hardware, and even that big company got not a fix in 24h for it.
There will be a fix for the problems with the sd2snes pro,but give the man time to see where the problem is and solve the problem.
You can play more then 1000 games on it without a problem, have a little bit patience and you will play all of them, except those 5 games that are not supported.

« on: March 16, 2019, 01:19 PM »
I think much people doesn't know how this projects working, sjeez,ok,you pay a lot of money, but it will always be fixed by ikari or krikzz, what we want more??
Its not that a multi billion dollar company is behind those 2 guys,if you want a sd2snes or everdrive perfekt, then create it yourselve.
Its not that those guys give no support, for the price you pay you can play almost al games, only 5 not,the only thing that you can complain then is the many revisions,do you think big manufactures don't do that???
Bugs is part of the job,and i'm happy that i own an sd2snes,without that its almost impossible to play many games cause the prices of the games these days.
Be happy that the firmware is updatable, krikzz and ikari are true legends in the retro scene, give them some credit guys, everything will be fine in a couple of weeks.

It will be fixed, though. There's always emulators in the meantime until it is fixed, if you want to play something badly enough.

I barely touch my snes anymore since i own a MISTer.

Off Topic / Re: MISTer
« on: March 10, 2019, 11:45 AM »
Its an fpga based system, like nt mini or super and mega nt,only this can play much more then snes-nes or megadrive.
I own a MISTer and its fantastic, you will enjoy this if you like retro systems,it plays so much systems now, many updates,i use 8bitdo snes controller and mouse and keyboard.
Furtekk is also making neo geo core for the MISTer.
I buyed the nano de10-io board and the sdram expansion,it comes without cooling fan,if you buy the io-board,think there was a fan with it,but i buyed separately noctua NF-A4x10 5v.
It gets every week many updates,smokemonster-sorgelig ect... are involved in the project,so i say,it is a must buy if you want to play retro games in the future cause real hardware is expensive today and is aging also.
I own a ton of retro game consoles and computers, but i'm happy there is a preservation project now going on.
I rarely touch them, most of the time play my games on MISTer now,you have scanlines and shaders, its just incedible.
And it plays many more systems as above, even arcade cores.

yep,s-dd1 and st-010,but that will be fixed,i saw in the menu that my cic state is normal or none while with sd2snes it was super cic enhanced as my snes is super cic and igr modded with a board from videogameperfection.

News / Re: EDN8 OS v20-BETA. Large update incoming
« on: March 03, 2019, 11:06 PM »
If I can help in anyway e.g. post my Everdrive and console with the issue to you I would be more than happy to do so! Just let me know.

This would be really helpful. I think i will solve the problem if you can send full kit (cart + console + sd card)

I also have problems with the v20 beta, tested with many other sdcards, but i can live with it.
Its not the end of the world igor, the only solution is someone send his console-n8 and sdcard to solve this problem once and for all.

The same problem as v20 os for n8,for some its working, for others not.
Strange,verry strange.
I just copied full sd2snes 1.10.1 on my sdcard as also all the other files, still error 09.
I give up,something is wrong, all other games are working, its just that bsx is not working.

FXPAK (SD2SNES) / Re: Firmware v1.10.0 is out

I just tested bsx,still 09 error here.
Its a pal snes chip 1 with super cic and igr.
Tested the unpatched versions of darius and actraiser.

@fille1976 , question the BSX work with 1.8.0 firmware on snes ?

I did not try this now,but if i remember it worked then, its from v1.9 and up its not working anymore.
Even with v1.10.1 its not working,so something is still wrong.

Now we have the final of sdd1,thx for all guys that contribute to make this happen.
And yes fox, this firmware works also on sd2snes.
