Is there any actual SA1 Chip Support projects going on?
« on: January 29, 2017, 12:20 PM »
Love my new SD2SNES, so I'm not trying to bitch.

But I keep hearing about there may be possible SA1 chip support.

On the official SD2SNES site, it says it's to be determined and not known impossible like some other chips.

But are there actually any third party groups out there that are working on this?

If so, is there a blog or something to keep up with them?
Sega Genesis: Mega Everdrive v1, SD2SNES, Gameboy Advance: EZ Flash IV, Nintendo DS: R4i-SDHC

I heard that over at smwcenteral that they were working on some SA-1 mods for super mario world to increase like sprite count and what not but I never looked into it.
All I wanna do is shred.

No one is working on any special chip implementations besides Ikari, if I'm not mistaken.

The guy doing the Veri Snes project was asked if he could contribute to the SD2snes with the SA-1 and SFX support, he said he might, but he is busy right now with his own project. Other than Ikari, no one else seems to be interested in tackling this.
