Assistance Needed: System IO Error
« on: December 23, 2020, 03:50 AM »
Hello Everyone,

I keep getting an "Error: D3 System IO Message" for my Mega Everdrive Series X3. Please see attached picture below.

Anyone have any suggestions as to why I would be getting this message?

I have the 3 BIOs files(MEGA.BIN, MEGA.RF and SVP.RBF) saved in the root of the folder.

The SD card I'm using is a 32 GB Sandisk card. It is formatted as a FAT32 card.

Any ideas why I'm getting this message?

Delete the bin, rf and rbf files from sdcard root

Extract the entire MEGA folder from the OS zip file into sd card root.

So I went ahead and deleted those files from the SDCard Root. I extracted the MEGA folder in its entirety into the SD card, but it still won't boot. I even went ahead and deleted all of my ROM folders leaving only the MEGA folder and I still get that D3 System I/O Error...

I recommend trying to reformat your Micro SDHC card using this free software program. It was made by the SD Association & fixes the problems with reading the card in many different devices. I used it to correct the problems that the Windows default format software creates trying to format to FAT32. Give it a try, the worst thing that can happen is it doesn't work out but I have faith it will fix your problem you are having. Here is the link to the program called "SD Memory Card Formatter" listed below.

So I tried that SD Card re-formatter as well as various other SD Card re-formatter programs and I still get that SD I/O Error. Any one else have any suggestions? I can't figure out what else to do.

Try with other SD cards, if you get the same error, contact the seller, maybe your your Mega Everdrive is defective.

If it works with other sd cards we can blame your 32gb card.

Edit: also there is a chance of your sd card being a fake or had came damaged as well.
