xxxxxxxx-xxxx format txt files can load it on the ED64 cheat menu.
I want to know how to load gameshark codes automatically.

Banjo-Tooie (U) [!].z64 stopped working for me with the new OS. It gets to the crack intro and crashes when I press Start. Works fine with OS 1.29.

DISK Init

Bootloader V3 or more old version installed on your cart ? Os tested only with last version of bootloader (v3). you should update bootloader if you use bootloader v2 or v1

Btw. if I update to OS2.0 are the ED64-IO sources still working for me afterwards ?

2)New FPGA core
3)Faster SD interface. Now trasfer speed up to 23Mbyte/s

'cause sounds like changes in the disk interface :>

New OS still compatailalbe with ED64-IO

Did you copy "AUTO" folder?

KRIKzz, I am extremely pleased that the ED64 now has Gameshark cheat code support. But how do we set up and use the codes, please?


Not all codes works, and there is no any ingame menu.  Some types of codes unsupported at all, such kind of codes will be always in "OFF" state in menu, some codes may just hang the game. Actual check in game is the only way to know if code works or not.

to load codes automatic, you should make txt file, name of file should match to the name of game, this file should be placed in AUTO folder. Also you should enable GameShark and auto cheats in options.
"/AUTO/supagame.txt" will be automatic applied to ROM with name supagame.*

for example some codes for doom

codes can be loaded automatic from AUTO folder, or loaded manually from any .txt file, need to push A on text file. Same thing with .ips/.aps patch files

hints about options.
GameShark: global cheats state. if dissabled, then cheats will be completelly dissabled, does not matter if it auto or manually loaded cheats.
IPS/APS global enable/dissable for patches. Associated patch file will be applied, if enabled. OS does not touch actual ROM file, OS only modify data in cartridge RAM, before than launch the game
Auto IPS: When you push "Select and start" or "Select only", OS will will try to find .aps/ips files in AUTO dir. If aps/ips file name match to game name, then patch will be associated with game. Scan of "AUTO"  folder occurs only when user push "Select and start/Select only" and only if Auto IPS option enabled at same time
Auto Cheats: same thing like Auto IPS, but this time for .txt files with cheat codes

Bootloader V3 is installed.

Then try to use another SD card. Unfortunatelly i can't reproduce such error with any of my test cards. May be i will fix it latter, if error will be reproduced somehow

Yes, I copied all folders. Tried both the clean (BAB803EF) and patched (1B66DEEC) version.

I got "error 0xc0 disk init" too, every time I power on the console.
Reset works, until I power it off. Then it's back. Every time I turn it on.

Same for me.

I get the error: "MEGA/delete-me.bin" file should be removed after than romset will be copied on SD Card.

I have no Mega folder and I deleted the dele-me.bin in the ED64 folder. I never did it earlier on my v1.28. It always worked.

I can't understand what are you talking about (:

Sorry, nevermind, I opened "Readme.txt" by accident because I thought yellow was the selection. Epic fail of me.

Hmm, haven't powered of my system the whole time  ::) The "error 0xC0 disk init." comes again. I've already formatted the SD card but the error comes again.
