Sd2snes nothing works no lights

So I just got my sd2snes yesterday from retro towers and of course with my luck it does not work. I took it out of the shell and put it into the system and none of the lights on the board light up. Is this a board issue or an issue with my snes ?

I'd test your SD2SNES on another SNES before you consider getting a replacement from Retro Towers.

Also, are you using a stock SNES or equivalent power adapter? Retail games work? If you have a special chip game that has the expansions pins being used (ie. Starfox, Megaman x2, etc.), use that to test your console to make sure the expansion pins are working.

Stock snes mini with stock power cord. All other games work including special chip games. I don't have another snes to test it on.

Ok so I brought it to a local retro game store where they let me test it on another snes and still nothing. Tested it with several other power supplies on my own snes and still nothing. No lights no error messages not a thing. So I'm going to assume that my sd2snes is the problem would everyone agree ?

Thanks. This is just my luck. I spend $260 on something which I held off from buying because it was so expensive and I get the 1 out of 10,000 that doesn't work.

I retrurned it to retro towers and got a new one from stone age gamer. New one works great and I absolutely love it. Thank you everyone for the help.
