The mystery and Kong battle are there. how can the save game delete without the bonus stuff delete also. Weird.

he told me just put the os in not everything else or it may delete. I forgot since then and I put the whole folder. The thing is it was working just fine the past week since i started. was playing donkykong and just today went to play some more donky kong and it deleted. My other games seem fine. maybe it's the rom file I used.

The only rom version that don't erase your Save is the hacked version "Donkey Kong 64 (U) [f2].z64"
.
This is the version i'm using, after lost a save game in the 2nd Stage.  :'(

Regarding PAL users, has the file Donkey Kong 64 (E) [f1].Z64 been proven to lose save files too?

I found the rom thanks. I was just very far into the game. Had all the kongs and was at the mounting. It really pisses me off. Im not the type of person to play games more then once. Maybe ill do it in the weekend.
They sure made those mini games so dumb those days.

So this is a fault directly related to this game's copy protection?

Yes, well dependent on the CIC (basically the copy protection device) you have installed in your cart...
Once you eliminate the impossible, whatever remains, no matter how improbable, must be the truth...

Yes the ED64 previously came with a 6102 (NTSC CIC) or 7101 (PAL CIC) donor taken from a real N64 cartridge so that it could boot, and then it emulated other CICs so that it could play all games no matter what CIC they use. It was incapable of emulating Rare's 6105 CIC fully though, which is why the anti-piracy kicks in on these Everdrives. Now that Krikzz has made his own CIC clone and Saturnu has upgraded it to emulate the 6105 CIC, all new Everdrives can play all three 6105 Rare games, besides becoming region free (earlier you had to install both a 6102 and a 7101 plus a switch to select which one, if you wanted it to work without a region adapter on the opposite region N64).

The compatibility list is a summary from what I gathered from this forum and my own tests. If you spot any mistaken information or confusing explanation, just tell me and I'll fix it when I have time.
