::Emergency:: I broke the Ultra CIC switch

I didn't bother to unscrew the case and was using a pin to flip the switch on my ED64.

I ended taking the top half of the switch off, and then when I finally took the case apart, i basically crushed the lower half  of the switch into bits inside the slot.

Is there anything I can do to still enable PAL or NTSC on my cartridge?

OR anyone I can send it to? I didn't know it would be so brittle.

Maybe i should've used a tooth pick instead, dammit.

Do you have a soldering iron? You could probably just bridge the contact with a wire to select either PAL or NTSC.

Your only option is to find someone with fine soldering skills to repair it for you, or send it back to Krikzz for repair (which will likely involve some cost).

Once you get it fixed, only change that switch if you're switching between an USA/Japanese N64 console and a European/M-PAL N64 console. That switch's only purpose is to change compatibility with the security lockout chips present in N64 consoles from different regions.

Exactly, The CIC Switch was simply so he could make 1 cart instead of seperate PAL and NTSC carts.
If you only have NTSC consol you dont need to flip the switch.

You can find some electronic technician in your city to make a repair for you, it is just a surface mount switch replacement

I'm having a hard time finding an electronics technician near me.

My dad has a soldering kit but he said he hasn't used it in long while.

How do I go about sending it to krikzz for repair?

oh wait i'm reading there's a 1 year warranty.
Maybe all i'll have to pay is shipping.
