EverDrive N64 not recognized (black screen no signal)
« on: December 17, 2017, 01:20 PM »
Hi

I received my EverDrive N64 yesterday but when I start my N64, the TV stays black, ni signal. It seems the EverDrive isn't recognized, because if I start my console without game, it's the same behaviour (no signal on screen).

If I don't plug the SD card, should I get a menu ?
Is the Everdrive region Free ? I'm using it on my N64 PAL.

I downloaded OS-V2.12.zip and extracted the file in a folder "ED64" in the root of the SD card.

Thank you

Hi, check out your SD card slot. If you can see a smal switch in there, try to push it to the other side. The switch is used to change between PAL and NTSC mode. Maybe your switch is set to NTSC mode.

You’ll get a Bootloader message without the SD card plugged in. The file structure must be SD:\ED64\OS64.v64. Just unzip the ED64 folder to your SD.

Edit: don’t name your SD card ED64! This causes also problems!

Edit2: does your N64 work with original games?
