Super Gameboy with Everdrive X7 controller question
« on: April 01, 2018, 07:47 AM »
Hello,

I was wondering if there was a way to play games with the Y button as the B button, and the B button as the A button? Playing with Bob and A is really awkward.

Thank you

it's not possible with the everdrive GB.
from what i know\or what i remember the super game boy is an pratically a game boy in a cartridge shell and uses the console to output video and get the controllers input.. (or maybe i am mistaking with the game boy player, i am not really sure)
the everdrive GB the max it could do is swap the B and A keys, but it even doesn't do that (the option in the menu is just for the menu, and i think krikz even comented to the fact he could even do that ingames)

not sure if its possible with a cheat device for the snes (a device that would sit between the cart and the console and could remap stuff)

How did you manage to change it?

How did you manage to change it?

It was just simply changing the controller layout in the SGB menu from B, to A and that fixed it.

didn't knew the SGB itself had options for it, thanks for posting and letting us (me specially) know
but that's why i commented about maybe with a snes cheating device, because i assumed the SGB didn't had such option natively

There's a faq for the SGB at gamefaqs that explains the menus. Pressing L and R at the same time brings up the SGB menu.

That’s, likely, Super Game Boy 101. Did you even own one?
