What is the top super metroid hack to play?

Just feel like playing something new but metroid? I got a hole lot of them just don't know what to pick. I don't want to play throu the same game again.

There is 3 different hyper metroid? Is this different then the one's in smokemonster pack? I just picked a random one. There prob the same with little differnce thou seem to have dif author. I just picked the highest version and started playing.

I'd absolutely love to see Retroid with MSU-1 support and the NES metroid soundtrack!  I tried contacting the developer, but never heard back.  I think that would be a near-perfect remake of Metroid 1...

Super Metroid Phazon hack and Metroid Super Zero Mission are very good too. I've not played them much, but they have good potential.

A minor but worth mentioning SM hack is Super Metroid Justin Bailey. Everything is the same except for Samus being in her swimsuit.

As far as I'm concerned, the best hack is item randomizer, if that counts. It absolutely breathes new life into the game.

Total's rando is far better for racing, but I prefer dessyreqt's (on Speedrunner difficulty) for convenience and personal familiarity.

Second favorite would probably be rotation hack.
