Ok, so here's a weird one...
I can only use the SD2SNES with my Super Nt if I boot the system WITHOUT a controller plugged in. Then I can plug in the controller after booting and it works like normal, most of the time. The system will still turn itself off sometimes.
It's super weird, and I can't for the life of me figure out why this would happen.
Both my Super Nt and SD2SNES are updated with the latest official firmware. The SD2SNES has no problems on original hardware, and the Super Nt has no problems with any other cartridges.
I am using original PAL SNES controllers without any controller extensions.
Does anyone have any insights as to what might be causing this?
The funny thing is that it is apparently happening to other users, like ColemanDF who wrote about it in this thread:

Not perfect still though, the system will still crash sometimes, but not as often. But still, this is quite baffling to me. Hopefully someone can lay down some wisdom.
