Super Everdrive X5 disk IO Error
« on: July 30, 2019, 08:42 PM »
So, I get this error when turning on a Japanese Super Famicom. Does it mean that their is something wrong with the SD card? It's only 16gb.

Here's a screen shot in imgur

Suggestions?

Try deleting some SRM files in the SAVE folder as having too many games in the everdrive series internal memory causes it to not function until all games are deleted. This what really happens and not a rumour that the SD card needs to be swapped for another one.

Well, I don't think there are any SRM files in there. Are you saying there's something wrong with the micro SD card?

Sadly not the IO error happens once too many games are remembered on the SD Card, this was found out here - http://krikzz.com/forum/index.php?topic=8958.msg69435#msg69435

That's very odd. The card has never been used and the Super EverDrive is brand new. I've never played one single game on it. I'll have to investigate further.

You can always try new SD card(s), try different sizes and brands.
