Hey, I've been informed that the bunny crashes on console. Fixed this in a quick update patch

Expansion Pak required!

Credit to Kaze and others for the fixes! I played it for a bit and it is glorious*. Although it's a pretty tough romhack so no save states this time!

(Patch on a big endian NTSC Mario 64 rom)

*By glorious, I mean it's a miracle that it works since it's such a unoptimized buggy mess of a hack.

Tried a couple of stages and it plays great so far! Just minor FPS drops occasionally but overall very impressive!

What OS you're on? If on Windows, you can use the patcher that's supplied in the zip. If on Mac, use MultiPatch. Linux users can use Flips.
With Flips, select Apply Patch, then choose the .bps file, select Open, then select the stock Mario 64 .z64 rom, click Open, name the new rom and save. It won't overwrite the original ROM, it makes a new patched copy instead.

Nope.
The stock SM64 z64's crc32 should be 3CE60709. It's correct on my end.

Most likely your problem is that your rom file is in the wrong format, so that all the correct data is present in the file, but in the wrong order. The Everdrive 64 can load the roms regardless of their format, but patcher programs aren't programmed to do that, so they can only use files in one format. To quote from the patch guide:


"...the rom you downloaded is the wrong-endian. For some reason, N64 game roms are available in two types, big-endian and little-endian (also known as byteswapped and unbyteswapped). I can never remember which is which, and I don't know why the byteswapped format exists, but basically a game rom can be in either format, and if it's in the wrong format then the patcher program can't use that rom.

It's not a real problem, though, because it's very easily fixed."

Follow the guide from step 8 to convert the rom file to the correct format, then it should patch no problem.

Note: The console compatible version of the game has been patched to fix a serious bug (on the 25th August), so download the new patch, and apply it to a clean Super Mario 64 rom file.



Also, does anyone know of a webpage or a forum where all SM64 hacks that are compatible with a real N64 are listed, please?
