Everdrive GB (Original) - problem - battery?
« on: December 01, 2019, 01:34 AM »
Hello folks,

I recently decided to relive some Link's Awakening on my Gameboy after finishing the game on Switch. When I turned on my gameboy with the Everdrive GB plugged in, 'init' was on the screen. It appeared to be repeatedly booting. I let it try for a few minutes, then turned it off.

Now when I turn on the Gameboy, the Nintendo logo is blacked out (as if no cartridge in unit). Nothing happens afterward. I tried it in multiple gameboys, and my gameboy player on my gamecube. Each time, the Nintendo logo is blacked out.

I tried other carts (real carts) and they work fine.

It the battery kaput, or is the whole everdrive pooched?

Thanks,

Try to clean the contacts on the Everdrive.
Also check the microSD in a PC to see if it's operational.
Might want to resit the microSD as well in the ED even if you don't try it on a PC.

Thanks for the suggestions. I did those, and to no avail.

Any other thoughts? Is she pooched?

Not pooched, but you should contact Krikzz if you can't figure it out.

Try fresh batteries of the same type in the Game Boy. Use quality batteries all from the same maker and same charge. If they are rechargeable, they all needs to be fully charged.
