The lack of response from KRIKzz makes me suspect that Gunstar and Shining Force still don’t work right with the new rev

I was just noticing that the X7 uses the exact same OS as the previous model. Given that, I highly doubt there is any difference at all in game compatibility. Looks like it’s just a newer/faster FPGA. Nothing more. This is probably why KRIKzz has remained silent.

Some individuals have received review units. Reports are that Gunstar runs and the Shining Force translation saves (the reviewer didn't have the Japanese version to try).  Additionally, loading times to start the game are much lower and save states work.

So this looks to be a good unit and a great upgrade.

The x7 I purchased arrived last weekend and I can also confirm Gunstar Hero's works, as well as the English translation of Shining Force: Final Conflict.

Speaking of recapping Game Gears, though, do the Majesco units have the same issues as the original ones?

I got mine yesterday, and can confirm it working with Gunstar Heroes and both Shining Forces as well.  I'm also pleased to see that SG-1000 games are working too.  But it seems that Chase HQ is still not working.  Has anyone else tried this one?

SMS or GG Chase HQ? Not sure if it makes a difference for GG, but the SMS version doesn't run properly in 60 Hz.
