Most Excellent

For those who live in the US, I ordered it on March 15th, it was shipped on March 19th, and was delivered on March 29th! Very quick shipping. The 2.5 version is good enough and a lot cheaper than the v3.

When I got the package it was in a black cardboard box with cut foam on the inside, securely holding the everdrive. Once I formatted my SD card to FAT32, I copied over my unzipped roms over, downloaded the latest OS, and it worked right away in my N64. It can be a real pain to try and remove the SD card from the everdrive though. If you plan on constantly taking the SD card in and out, you might want to consider the v3, as it has the standard SD card slot spring. With the v2.5, you have to get a good hold on it. The SD card extrudes from the cart slightly.

All the games I've tested on it work great, though sometimes Kirby 64 will freeze randomly but I'm looking into that. Played Super Mario, Mario Party 2, ZoL: OoT & MM, Mario Tennis, Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day, Paper Mario, and Star Fox 64 so far, and they all work perfectly.

If you are on the fence on buying one, I would highly recommend it if you want to play all N64 games. Great for collectors, people reliving their childhood, and for parents who don't want to spend $60 on every new game for their kid. If you ever have the desire to play N64, I think this is the best way to do it.

With the v2.5, remember it doesn't save automatically and one has to press the restart button, after which you'll see a menu that says "saving" before returning to the everdrive menu. After that happens you can turn it off.

I haven't had any success with the NES emulator as of yet, but I assume that isn't the main reason you would want this.

Ordered, 20 days later - it turned up in my mail box in New Zealand. BLoody excellent..

Best thing I have bought for the 64! One thing I wouldn't mind seeing again is the option to just buy the board(no shell). I don't mind customizing a donor shell. Those that may not know, look in the forums under the ED64 thread and snag some cool user project games.

you are a genius

this works easy and like charm 100%. a small "but". if you could make an update where NTSC games running on a PAL console didn't had that colour distortion... that would be miracle ! but still all PAL(and ntsc) games run smoothly on my PAL console.

I have the v3.0 but hit reset anyways most of time

For the 2.5 ALWAYS REMEMBER to reset console after saving then wait for ever drive menu to come back or you will lose all save data all the way back until last time you did that.

If you think you will have issues remembering this or want simplicity get the 3.0. The 3.0 has a battery. When you power off console on 3.0 it saves to battery which in turn saves to cartridge on next reboot. The simplicity of the 3.0 is worth the cost in my opinion but definetly keep in mind the difference of cost and difference in use between the two when making the purchase.

Best company I've ever done business with!

Works awesome and never had a problem with it. After I screwed something up with my order they worked fast and more than helpful to help me fix it. Highly recommended!

This changed my N64 life

This is the only way to get the 100% original gaming experience on the real N64 hardware and you wouldn't know you weren't playing it off the original cartridges. I have had 3 friends buy these after seeing mine in action - in short - it ROCKS! Having every N64 game at my fingertips is amazing

Great Value and Superb Compatibility

The board and cart are of great build quality! I haven't had any compatibility problems even with Pokemon Stadium 2 and Donkey Kong 64 (known for issues). The games load fast and hitting reset before powering off the console to save is easy. Fast shipping and great communication. You wont be disappointed. Thanks Krikzz!
